View, Manage, and Create User Lists Within Threads

User lists in Threads organization offer a convenient way to group members for efficient tagging and notifications. Whether it’s a team, a project group, or managers, user lists simplify communication by allowing you to notify multiple members simultaneously. You can @-mention a user list in a thread or chat to notify everyone on the list, or add the user list as an audience in a thread or channel to automatically include that group. Creating and joining user lists is easy, and anyone within the organization can create a list, which can be either invite-only or open for anyone to join.

To Create a User List:

  1. Navigate to the organization using the top left corner menu.
  2. Select “View members” to access the list of organization members.
  3. Click on “Create user list” to begin creating a new list.
  4. Name the user list and choose whether it should be invite-only or publicly available.

To Join a User List:

  1. Go to the organization using the top left corner menu.
  2. Select “View members” to view the member list.
  3. Navigate to “User lists” and find the user list you wish to join.
  4. Click on “Join” to become part of the selected user list.

By effectively using user lists in Threads, your organization can streamline communication, enhance collaboration, and ensure relevant parties are promptly notified when needed.
