Cuba attended with great pleasure the reception offered by the Chinese Embassy in Victoria, on the occasion of the celebration of the Chinese Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year and to bid farewell to Ambassador Guo Wei, who concludes her diplomatic mission in Seychelles.

The activity was attended by the President, Wavel Ramkalawan, the Vice President, Ahmed Afif, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, as well as other ministers, government officials, colleagues from the diplomatic corps and members of the Chinese community in Seychelles.

As Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Guo Wei, knew how to unite all members of the diplomatic community and make us all feel like one big family in Seychelles. As Ambassador of China, she always maintained an excellent friendship with Cuba, an expression of the historical ties of fraternal friendship and cooperation between China and Cuba.

We wish her much future success in the company of her family and friends. She will always count on the friendship of her Cuban colleagues.
