How to import and export bookmarks in Chrome

To import bookmarks into Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window to open the Chrome menu.
  3. Click “Bookmarks,” then select “Bookmark Manager.”
  4. In the Bookmark Manager, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window, then select “Import Bookmarks.”
  5. In the Import Bookmarks and Settings window, select the browser from which you want to import the bookmarks (e.g., “Microsoft Edge,” “Mozilla Firefox,” etc.).
  6. Select the items you want to import (e.g., “Favorites,” “Bookmarks,” etc.), then click “Import.”

To export bookmarks from Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Bookmark Manager as described above.
  2. In the Bookmark Manager, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the window, then select “Export Bookmarks.”
  3. In the Save As window, select a location on your computer where you want to save the file, then click “Save.” The bookmarks will be saved as an HTML file, which can be imported into other browsers.

Note: If you have multiple users on your computer, each user will have their own set of bookmarks. To import or export bookmarks for a specific user, that user must be signed in to Chrome when performing the import or export.
