Major company leaders have begun acknowledging AI’s impression on workforce planning. In June, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated AI would “reduce our total corporate workforce as we get efficiency gains.” Meanwhile, Ford CEO Jim Farley was reported to be planning to automate as much as half of the corporate’s white-collar roles.
Others recommend that AI is reshaping hiring methods behind the scenes. “There’s basically a blank check to go out and buy these AI tools,” Josh Bersin, CEO of The Josh Bersin Company, instructed NBC News. “Then they go out and say: ‘No more hiring.’ So that immediately freezes the job market.”
As AI instruments turn into extra succesful and accessible, analysts warn that structural job displacement might speed up—notably for white-collar roles—until financial circumstances enhance and firms discover methods to steadiness automation with workforce wants.
