A distressing video has emerged displaying a police officer capturing at protesters throughout Friday’s demonstrations within the Mwiki space of Kasarani.

In the video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the officer is seen aiming and capturing straight on the protesters earlier than fleeing the scene on a bodaboda.

The protests had erupted after an 18-year-old lady was discovered murdered by unknown assailants within the space. Kasarani residents took to the streets to protest the killing and demand justice.

The protesters had lit a bonfire alongside the Sunton–Kasarani street, disrupting companies for the higher a part of Friday.

Police had been deployed within the space to disperse the protesters and return enterprise to normalcy when the unlucky capturing occurred.

The incident has sparked rage amongst Kenyans on social media, who’ve raised an alarm over instances of youths being shot by police throughout protests.

Currently, two cops have been arrested following an analogous occasion that was witnessed in Nairobi CBD.

Officers Klinzy Barasa and Duncan Kiprono had been arrested following the capturing of Boniface Mwangi Kariuki, a masks vendor in CBD on Tuesday, June 17, protests.

The courtroom ordered the 2 officers to be detained for 15 days to permit the Independent Policing and Oversight Authority (IPOA) to probe into the incident.
