Johannesburg – All former mine staff within the Ekurhuleni district have been urged to register for Social Security Benefits for occupational illnesses acquired throughout their work within the mining sector.

The Gauteng Department of Health (GDoH) introduced that registration begins this morning, Monday, 21 July 2025, from 08:00 at numerous websites throughout the district to make sure that eligible ex-mine staff can entry their unclaimed advantages and medical surveillance.
