Chinese firms pump Sh51.5bn into Tatu City's SEZ

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 28 – Chinese funding in Kenya’s Tatu City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has surpassed Sh51.5 billion, with seven firms working throughout key sectors together with healthcare, building, and manufacturing.

The corporations, which embrace FullCare Medical SEZ, Tianlong Cylinder Company, and Sinotruk Kenya, have collectively created greater than 10,000 jobs. Their presence alerts the rising position of Chinese enterprises in Kenya’s industrial improvement and job creation agenda.

Tatu City, a part of Kenya’s SEZ programme, continues to draw world traders via a mixture of tax incentives and streamlined enterprise companies.

Chinese corporations are anticipated to extend to fifteen by 2026, with new entrants in prescribed drugs, logistics, electronics meeting, and conventional Chinese drugs.

The SEZ provides a lowered company tax charge of 10 % for the primary decade and 15 % for the following, together with exemptions on import responsibility, VAT, and stamp responsibility—advantages which have made it a most popular vacation spot for worldwide producers and exporters.
