Kanja Sends Message to Kenyans and Police Ahead of Protest

The Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, has issued orders to Kenyans and the police forward of the June 25, 2025, protest.

While chatting with the press on Tuesday, June 24, Kanja requested the general public to stay calm, adjust to the regulation, and present mutual respect between demonstrators and regulation enforcement officers.

Further, he warned that any group appearing outdoors the regulation can be handled firmly to stop breaches of peace.

“The structure ensures each particular person the fitting to assemble, display, picket, and current a petition to public authority. Also, the Public Order Act requires that such assembled individuals ought to cooperate and coordinate with the police,” mentioned Kanja.



Kanja Gives Orders to the Police

Kanja has praised cops for placing their lives on the road to guard Kenyans. He has assured them of full backing as they execute their mandate.

“This far, we respect the patriotism and dedication to obligation by all cops who put their lives on the road for the defence of our motherland.

“We guarantee our officers of our unwavering help as they execute their mandate as required by the structure,” added Kanja.

Also, the police boss has requested Kenyans to keep away from provocative acts in opposition to officers throughout the demonstrations, and to respect restricted and guarded areas, saying unauthorized entry is not going to be tolerated.

“The public can also be urged to chorus from provocative acts directed at cops within the execution of their duties.

Message to Kenyans
