To shuffle on the mobile Spotify application:
- Open the Spotify mobile app.
- Start playing your music.
- Full-screen the current song from the playback bar at the bottom of the app.
- Find the shuffle button in the media controls. It looks like two interwoven arrows.
- Press the shuffle button once, so it turns green with a dot underneath it.
After you have activated the shuffle function, subsequent songs will begin playing at random in the Spotify mobile app.
To shuffle on the desktop Spotify application:
- Open the Spotify desktop app.
- Start playing your music.
- Find the shuffle button in the media controls at the bottom of the app. It looks like two interwoven arrows.
- Press the shuffle button once, so it turns green with a dot underneath it.
Once this has been done, your music will begin playing at random in the Spotify desktop app.
