Facebook Inc’s WhatsApp has announced plans to proceed with its privacy policy update despite facing backlash recently.
The App, which has so far garnered over 2 Billion users globally recently stated that it would share limited user data with Facebook and its group firms. This in return will be used for advertising and other marketing activies.
This move saw the brand face pull out and consumers moving to apps such as Telegram and Signal.
WhatsApp said it will start reminding users to review and accept updates to keep using the messaging platform.
“We’ve also included more information to try and address concerns we’re hearing,” it added.
