Google AdSense

Google AdSense offers a number of different payment methods to choose from. However, some of them depend on your payment address. For example, payment by Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) transfers are only available in certain Euro countries such as Cyprus and Iceland².

Here are the AdSense payment methods available if you have a UK address:

Bank transfer

A reliable, secure way to receive your AdSense payment, bank transfer involves sending a payment once a month straight to your bank account.³

Here’s what you need to do to select bank transfer as your preferred payment method:

  1. Sign into your Google AdSense account and head to the Payments section
  2. Select ‘Add payment method’
  3. Choose ‘Transfer to bank account’
  4. Enter your bank account information, making sure to enter details exactly as they appear on your bank statement.
  5. Check your details and submit.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

An EFT is just like a bank transfer, as it deposits your AdSense earnings directly into your bank account. But the key difference is that unlike bank transfers, if this option is available in your location the money will be paid out in your local currency. This means you can avoid poor exchange rates to convert your earnings from USD or EUR to GBP.

Follow these steps to choose EFT as your AdSense payment method⁴:

  1. Sign into your AdSense account and head to ‘Payments’
  2. Select ‘Add payment method’
  3. Set EFT as your payment method
  4. Enter your bank account details carefully and click ‘Save’
  5. AdSense will then send a small test deposit of less than £1 to verify your account⁵. This should arrive after 2-5 working days.
  6. Once you receive this (check your bank statements or online banking), sign back into your AdSense account and click ‘verify now’
  7. Select the test deposit amount you received from the drop-down menu, then confirm.
